Health insurers jack up rates
Health insurance premiums for Knox County residents with individual or employer based coverage are expected to rise at an alarming rate next year, according to local insurance agents. Two local agents said they were seeing health insurance rates growing by as much 30 percent in recent weeks as they negotiate policy renewals for next year.

SeaWorld fined $75,000 in trainer’s death
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited SeaWorld of Florida LLC for three safety violations, including one classified as willful, following the death of an animal trainer in February. The total penalty is $75,000.
